Interesting, I pretty much am barefoot most of the time since I don't like wearing shoes at home but when I got pregnant my feet started to hurt a lot, now I can't be barefoot or my feet will absolutely kill me by the end of the day.

On an indoor treadmill I can hit 5km at speed with no issue. I go outdoors, and can't make 100m without gasping for breath. What is going on!? BTW I made 30 secs on the test.

We don’t run on calories, we run on ATP. Micronutrients are there for the pathway from glucose to ATP and fatty acids to ATP. So low quality here is meant as calories without the associated micronutrients to turn them into ATP and therefore no energy.

Being a triathlete myself I do a lot swimming and cycling as well as running. It's a really complete sport. Add some strength and you're golden 😀💪 . And what you say is so true, if you're injured and can't run, most of the times you can still swim.

If you are overweight, please walk first until you get about at least 15 lbs overweight. Then run. If you run while overweight you can seriously injure your knees.

Thank you for this information. I have been randomly doing this type of exercises throughout my work day and was wondering if they would benefit me any. I know they at least made me feel better mentally and they helped get me out of the funk of just sitting at my desk all day. This was very helpful.

I own a $4500 altitude generator with sleeping canopy. I have also done oxygen advantage practices. I honestly think this nose breathing is better than my altitude generator. The CO2 tolerance is the key allowing the Bohr effect to take place. Don't waste your money on altitude equipment just do this for free.

I've been wearing barefoot shoes for more 8 months now. Went running on monday, and repeated again on tuesday. Now my left calve is reeeally hurting. I have some physical evaluations, for a job, on friday. Do you think that this pain is more linked to the fact that I'm not used to running, or due the the barefoot shoes?? The pain is not like muscular fatigue at all (I'm an active person, but I'm just not used to running, at all). The right calve is sored, but the left is just.... I have severe pain when standing up right, leaning on the left calve. I have to be ok by friday, but I really don't know what to do :( Thank you a lot!

I love both activities equally well, picked up running and cycling simultaneously seven months ago, and I am making more progress in both forms of recreation than if I focused on one of them, besides that, it is defenitely more fun and the risk of boredom is minimalysed., and the amount of muscle endurance in both types of movement seems more than the sum of the parts.

I find it hard getting enough oxygen when just using my nasal breathing and going past 60- 70% of my capacity of running. Is this something you can train or are you supposed to use your mouth still (but as much nasal breathing as you can of course) when going faster?

Thanks Coach Brad. This video is just what I need. I'm currently also sidelined with torn meniscus, and I'm worried that this could mean the end of my running/ frisbee journey. My recovery feels so slow , I still feel far away from my pre-injury condition. I have overcome other major injuries in the past, but I feel like this one is hitting me harder (mentally) because of my age. Biking and swimming has been part of my recovery routine, but I still miss the running.

Thank god I came across your video before I could have done permanent damage to my legs or something I am already resting, but I was having doubt on my decision what if I would lose my fitness i trained or overtrained under summer with extreme humidity in a not very comfortable shoes, I have experienced consistent muscle soreness and insomnia I'm recovering right now, checking on my diet, and definitely will get a new shoe Btw, can anyone suggest me daily trainer shoe for daily 7 to 10 km running?
